This award supports U.S. scholars to undertake independent research and scholarly collaboration at the University of Montpellier, a globally ranked institution in southern France. Scholars may affiliate with any department, institute, laboratory, or research center at the university, and are encouraged to focus on themes such as food safety, environmental science, biodiversity, biology, and health. In addition to research, grantees are expected to participate in public talks, student mentorship, and broader community engagement, advancing Fulbright’s mission of fostering international understanding and cooperation.
