Description
Funded by the University of Klagenfurt through the Fulbright Scholar Program, this visiting professorship supports one U.S. academic undertaking a flexible combination of teaching and research in Austria. Scholars conduct a research project of their choosing, teach undergraduate or graduate courses, and advise or mentor students. Course content, format, and level are agreed with the university to reflect institutional needs and the scholar’s expertise. Joint research with the host department is welcomed.
The award seeks contributions to the university’s research priorities and broad range of degree programs, with interdisciplinary approaches encouraged. Beyond academic work, the exchange promotes mutual understanding and cooperation between Austria and the United States and strengthens institutional relationships. Scholars may also be asked to give public talks and engage with the host community.
