Description
This Fulbright Scholar award supports a visiting professor at the University of Applied Sciences Burgenland’s Pinkafeld campus in Austria. Funded by the host university, it combines teaching and research in sustainable energy systems, energy and environmental management, or building technology and management. Courses and research objectives are negotiated with the host to reflect institutional needs and the scholar’s expertise. Activities may include advanced-student supervision, joint faculty research, and coauthored publications.
Sustainability is the overarching priority, emphasizing applicable results developed with industry. Research interests include high-tech or low-tech sustainable buildings and rural sustainable energy supply, particularly solar and wind energy, storage, and hydrogen. Projects integrate technical, social, and economic perspectives while advancing mutual understanding and institutional relationships between Austria and the United States.
