Description
This Fulbright Scholar award supports teaching, research, or a combination of both at the University of Bucharest in Romania. Projects are welcome in all disciplines. Scholars may conduct research of their own choosing or designated by the host institution, and teach undergraduate or graduate courses aligned with their expertise. Combined projects allow applicants to determine their teaching/research balance, while research-focused scholars are encouraged to include teaching to foster academic exchange and mentorship.
Administered in Romania by the Romanian-U.S. Fulbright Commission, the award promotes international understanding and cooperation between the United States and Romania. Beyond their primary projects, scholars may mentor students, advise theses, support curriculum development, collaborate with faculty, and participate in lectures, seminars, conferences, exhibitions, or performances. Scholars may also be asked to engage with the wider host community.
