Description
The Fulbright-University of Debrecen Scholar Award supports teaching or combined teaching and research at the University of Debrecen in Hungary. Offered through the Fulbright U.S. Scholar Program, it welcomes projects in all disciplines. Scholars may teach undergraduate or graduate courses of their choosing, conduct their own research, or join the university’s research projects.
Scholars normally teach two courses, reduced to one when research is a more substantial component. There is no preferred division of time between teaching and research. Activities may also include student mentoring, faculty training, curriculum development, community outreach, and invited guest lectures at other Hungarian universities. The exchange advances Fulbright’s mission of strengthening relationships between people in the United States and other nations and promoting international understanding and cooperation.
