This award supports U.S. scholars to undertake research or a combination of research and teaching at the University of Lapland in Rovaniemi, Finland. Open to all disciplines, the program aims to strengthen academic collaboration and cultural exchange between the U.S. and Finland, with a special emphasis on Arctic issues. Scholars may be based in any of the university’s four faculties (Art and Design, Education, Law, Social Sciences) or its multidisciplinary Arctic Centre. The award encourages engagement with the host community through public talks, mentorship, and networking, in addition to primary academic activities.
