Description
The Fulbright-University of Pécs Award supports teaching and combined teaching/research at the University of Pécs in Hungary. Offered through the Fulbright U.S. Scholar Program, it welcomes projects in all disciplines, including humanities, social sciences, natural sciences, medical and health sciences, engineering and IT, music, and visual arts. Scholars may teach undergraduate or graduate courses, conduct their own research, or join university research projects.
Scholars normally teach two courses, reduced to one when research is more substantial. There is no preferred teaching/research time split. Activities may also include student mentoring, faculty training, curriculum development, community outreach, and invited guest lectures at other Hungarian universities. The award advances Fulbright’s goal of strengthening relationships between people in the United States and other nations through international understanding and cooperation.
