Description
The Fulbright-University of Sheffield Scholar Award supports a three-to-nine-month research project, with teaching where appropriate, in or across the university’s research-active schools. Offered through the Fulbright Scholar Program in partnership with Sheffield and the US-UK Fulbright Commission, it welcomes all disciplines, including arts and humanities, social sciences, engineering and advanced manufacturing, medicine and health, and science. Sheffield also supports interdisciplinary work through cross-faculty research centres, emphasizing research and innovation with impact beyond academia.
Scholars may pursue their own or host-designated research, teach undergraduate or graduate courses, mentor students, and conduct professional or artistic work. Alongside academic exchange, the award promotes mutual understanding between the United States and United Kingdom through public talks, community engagement, and academic, cultural, and social activities.
