Description
This Fulbright Scholar award supports a four-month placement at the University of Szeged in Hungary for teaching or combined teaching and research in any discipline. Scholars may teach undergraduate or graduate courses of their choosing, pursue independent research, or join university research projects. The normal teaching load is two courses, reduced to one when research is a more substantial component. There is no preferred division of time between teaching and research.
The program promotes international understanding and stronger relationships between people in the United States and Hungary. Scholars may advise students, assist with faculty training and curriculum development, engage with Fulbright alumni, and participate in community outreach. Invited guest lectures at other Hungarian universities may also be possible. The Hungarian-American Fulbright Commission supports grantees during their preparation and stay.
