Key Information: U.S. citizenship and a terminal degree are required; Finnish residents and permanent residents are ineligible.
Description
Jointly funded by the University of Turku and the Fulbright Finland Foundation, this award supports research and/or lecturing in fields represented in the university’s eight faculties and four independent units. Fields include education, humanities, law, medicine, science, social sciences, technology, and economics. Scholars may pursue their own or host-designated research, teach undergraduate or graduate courses, mentor students, and contribute to faculty, curriculum, or program development.
The award advances academic collaboration and mutual understanding between Finland and the United States. Alongside their primary work, scholars may be asked to give public talks and engage with the host community. Applicants are encouraged to design activities collaboratively with a host department, faculty, or research program.
