Description
This Fulbright Scholar Program award is jointly funded by the University of Vaasa and the Fulbright Finland Foundation. It supports high-quality research projects chosen by visiting U.S. scholars, with graduate or doctoral lecturing encouraged rather than required. Projects may span fields represented by the university’s four schools or multidisciplinary research platforms.
The university combines business and technology expertise, with research focused on energy transition, business renewal, and societal transformation. Its platforms connect disciplinary expertise with global trends and foster interdisciplinary collaboration. Alongside research, the award promotes international understanding and relationships between Finland and the United States. Scholars may be asked to give public talks, mentor students, and engage with their host community as Fulbright ambassadors.
