This award provides a unique opportunity for a distinguished U.S. scholar to teach and conduct research at the Swedish Institute for North American Studies (SINAS), Department of English, Uppsala University—Sweden’s oldest university. The scholar will teach one introductory undergraduate course and a specialized course for senior or graduate students in their area of expertise, deliver an inaugural lecture, and may engage in collaborative or independent research. Additional activities may include public lectures at other Swedish universities and community engagement. The position is designed to foster academic exchange and strengthen U.S.–Sweden relations in the field of American Studies.
