Description
This Fulbright U.S. Scholar award supports teaching and research at Technological University of the Shannon (TUS), Ireland, focused on “Sustainability for Modern Living: An Interdisciplinary Study of International Best Practices in Material Selection and Design.” It welcomes work in design, engineering, fine arts, sociology, anthropology, environmental sciences and environmental studies, particularly interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary applied research addressing sustainability, climate and sustainable living.
Activities include faculty, curriculum and programme development, host-designated or independently chosen research, and professional or artistic projects. Applicants should seek to translate research into real-world applications and achieve impact within and beyond academia. Through academic exchange and engagement with the host community, the award also aims to strengthen relationships between the United States and Ireland and promote international understanding and cooperation.
