Description
Jointly funded by the Fulbright Finland Foundation and VTT Technical Research Center of Finland, this award supports research visits of four to six months at VTT. Researchers may contribute to current VTT projects or propose their own research agenda. The program connects U.S. scholars and professionals with VTT’s cross-disciplinary applied research community to address major challenges through science-based innovation and strengthen research links between Finland and the United States.
The award covers disciplines represented at VTT, including biology, chemistry, computer science, engineering, environmental sciences, and information sciences/systems. Particular consideration goes to quantum technologies and microelectronics, industrial biotechnology, biomaterial processing and products, integrated computational materials engineering, nuclear energy—especially small modular reactors—and hydrogen. Other VTT focus areas may also be considered.
