Description
Jointly funded by VTT Technical Research Center of Finland and the Fulbright Finland Foundation, this award supports research visits at VTT through the Fulbright U.S. Scholar Program. Researchers may contribute to existing VTT projects or propose their own research agenda. Eligible disciplines are biology, chemistry, computer science, engineering, environmental sciences, and information sciences/systems.
The program connects international research collaboration with VTT’s goal of addressing major challenges through science-based innovation, sustainable growth, and well-being. Particular interests include quantum technologies and microelectronics, industrial biotechnology, biomaterial processing and products, Integrated Computational Materials Engineering (Propertune ICME), nuclear energy—especially small modular reactors—and hydrogen. Other projects within the eligible disciplines are also welcome. The award advances Fulbright’s mission of international understanding and cooperation between the United States and other nations.
