Description
Full ADOPT supports collaborative, farmer-led on-farm trials and experiments testing ideas or solutions that are new or not yet widely used. Funded by the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) and delivered with Innovate UK, it forms part of the Farming Innovation Programme.
Projects must address significant on-farm or immediate post-farmgate challenges or opportunities in agriculture, horticulture or agro-forestry. They must have potential to improve productivity, resilience, or sustainability and progress towards net zero farming. Trials must demonstrate benefits for other English farmers, growers or foresters, with results shared during and after the project to encourage adoption and peer-to-peer learning.
