Description
The Fund for Homeless Women is a field of interest fund at the Community Foundation for Monterey County dedicated to supporting programs and services for homeless women on the Monterey Peninsula. The fund was established to address the complex and diverse challenges faced by this population, including poverty, loss of income, domestic violence, and limited housing options. Grants are awarded to organizations for both immediate emergency assistance (such as shelter, transportation, and personal care) and for innovative approaches that expand shelter, housing, and case management services. The fund encourages collaborative and creative projects that fill service gaps and improve the well-being and stability of homeless women in the region.
