Description
Coefficient Giving’s capacity-building program supports work that strengthens society’s ability to navigate transformative AI and increases the likelihood of positive outcomes. It funds projects that help new talent enter AI-risk work, support people already in the field, and contribute to discussion of AI’s potential benefits and risks. New entrants may come from academic or professional fields outside computer science and machine learning.
Areas of interest include technical alignment, model evaluation and forecasting, AI governance and policy, information security, and the economics of AI, without being limited to those fields. Supported activities include training and mentorship, events, regular meetup groups, educational resources, media, career advising, discussion platforms, and co-working or event spaces. The emphasis is on developing people, professional connections, and shared knowledge rather than primarily funding direct research.
