Description
Funds for Artists, administered by the Greater Columbus Arts Council (GCAC), supports individual working artists in dance, fashion, film, literary, music, theater, visual, and multidisciplinary arts. The program helps artists create their own work, strengthen artistic skills, and reach broader audiences through performances, exhibitions, publishing, and other public presentations.
Support covers materials, tools, software and hardware, rehearsal or exhibition space, and post-production services. Artists may also request professional development costs, including classes, workshops, residency or fellowship fees, submission fees, and conferences. Marketing expenses can include public relations, advertising, distribution, promotional videos, and website or logo design. Performance and exhibition costs, such as venue rentals, permits, and costumes, are eligible, along with travel connected to confirmed formal artistic opportunities.
