    Description

The Future Directions Launch Award is a Society of Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology award within the Future Directions Forum. It honors promising early career scientists whose research addresses that year’s Future Directions Address topics, drawn from the Journal of Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology (JCCAP). The Forum highlights innovative mental health research, including work on interventions, neuroscience, suicide, health disparities, sleep, and stigma.

The award serves as a capstone to academic training, raising recipients’ visibility as they prepare to enter academia and begin independent research careers. One recipient is selected for each annual address topic. Awardees deliver TED Talk-style presentations at the Forum’s award ceremony, which are streamed live, archived on the Forum website, and linked to YouTube.
