Description
FLEX Global Abroad is an academic-year exchange program implemented by American Councils for International Education and funded by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs. Participants live with a host family, attend a local school, develop language abilities, and take part in leadership activities. The program offers opportunities to broaden perspectives through daily life in another country.
Building on the legacies of the Future Leaders Exchange and Kennedy-Lugar Youth Exchange and Study programs, FLEX Global Abroad aims to strengthen ties between the United States and participating countries. Students share their hometowns, traditions, and U.S. culture with host families, friends, and local communities. Enhancement programming focuses on business, entrepreneurship, technology, and Super Intelligence, alongside leadership development.
