CGT4PM2027 is the fourth joint transnational call of the European Partnership for Personalised Medicine (EP PerMed). It funds innovative human-health research developing and validating novel cell and gene therapies for personalised medicine, with projects in all disease areas encouraged. Supported approaches include somatic cell therapeutics, gene therapeutics, combined cell-and-gene therapeutics, and novel biological products such as mRNA, other nucleic acid-based methods, and extracellular vesicles used as vehicles for gene-based therapeutic procedures.
The call brings together academic, clinical/public health, and private research teams across countries. It encourages interdisciplinary and cross-sector collaboration, including patient organisations, regulatory and health technology assessment agencies, and end-user perspectives. Its broader goal is improved health outcomes within sustainable healthcare systems. The Joint Call Secretariat is hosted by France’s ANR; Austrian funding is provided through FWF and Fonds Zukunft Österreich, with European Union co-funding.
