Key Information: Consortia need at least three eligible, funding-requesting partners from three participating countries.
GETS is the third co-funded call of FutureFoodS, a Horizon Europe partnership working towards environmentally friendly, socially fair, economically viable, healthy, and safe European food systems by 2050. It supports transnational research and innovation addressing sustainability, health, safety, resilience, competitiveness, strategic autonomy, and inclusiveness. Austrian participation is supported by FWF, Fonds Zukunft Österreich, and European Union co-funding.
The call focuses on post-harvest food systems through three topics: trusted and transparent sustainable food value chains; consumer agency and enabling food environments; and innovative processing for sustainable, safe, and nutritious products. Projects should take a food systems approach, identifying relevant actors, dependencies, and levers for transformation. Interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary work, stakeholder engagement, sustainability, and an explicit impact plan are central to the call.
