Description
This grant program provides funding to eligible School Food Authorities (SFAs) in New York State to purchase equipment that enhances the infrastructure of the National School Lunch Program (NSLP) and School Breakfast Program (SBP). The goal is to enable schools to serve healthier meals, improve meal quality and food safety, increase participation in school meal programs, and support the establishment, maintenance, or expansion of the SBP. Equipment funded through this program must be used to support federally assisted school meals programs and cannot be used exclusively for other purposes.
