The Fire Prevention and Safety (FP&S) Research and Development program, administered by FEMA, aims to enhance the safety of both the public and firefighters by supporting research, development, and outreach activities focused on fire and fire-related hazards. The program funds projects that seek to mitigate incidences of death and injuries caused by fire and improve firefighter safety through innovative, evidence-based approaches.
