Description
The Emergency Management Performance Grant Program (EMPG) supports all-hazards emergency preparedness and the development of comprehensive emergency management programs. Its primary objective is to help state, local, tribal, and territorial emergency management agencies implement the National Preparedness System and advance the National Preparedness Goal of a secure and resilient nation. Supported activities focus on planning, training, and exercises, including preparedness for evolving threats and risks associated with natural disasters.
The Georgia Emergency Management and Homeland Security Agency (GEMA/HS) administers the program in Georgia as the State Administrative Authority.
