Description
The Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) offers competitive planning grants to support the development and expansion of high-quality Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs and partnerships statewide. The initiative aims to foster collaboration among secondary, postsecondary, industry, and workforce development partners, prioritizing programs that serve underserved populations and respond to labor market needs. Two grant options are available:
- 0412 CTE Partnership Planning Grant: For regional and local partnerships seeking to develop or expand CTE programs by leveraging existing resources and increasing student access.
- 0422 CTE Program Planning Grant: For entities planning new CTE programs that provide students with industry-recognized credentials, work-based learning, and career pathways.
The grants emphasize sustainable models, integration of Massachusetts pathway principles, and innovative approaches to curriculum and work-based learning.
