Description
This program provides funding for accredited U.S. institutions of higher education to acquire major equipment or instrumentation that enhances research and research-related education in science, mathematics, and engineering fields relevant to the Department of Defense (DoD) and national defense priorities. The initiative is part of the Defense University Research Instrumentation Program (DURIP), supporting the Army Research Office (ARO), Office of Naval Research (ONR), and Air Force Office of Scientific Research (AFOSR). The focus is on strengthening the research infrastructure and enabling universities to address DoD problem sets and educate future STEM professionals.
