This competitive grant funds the development and continuation of consortia between eligible sponsoring organizations and PK–12 districts to improve teacher preparation and professional development in evidence-based early literacy instruction. The goal is to enhance early literacy outcomes for PK–3 students across Massachusetts by fostering collaborative, multi-year partnerships that emphasize literacy equity, culturally and linguistically sustaining practices, and shared innovation. Activities may include strategic planning, professional development, and early literacy initiatives that benefit both districts and educator preparation programs.
