Description
This grant opportunity from the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) is designed to help public school districts, charter schools, collaboratives, and approved special education schools enhance college, career, and civic readiness for students in grades 6–12. The grant supports three main options:
- My Career and Academic Plan (MyCAP) Planning and Implementation for high schools, focusing on building and implementing a comprehensive scope and sequence for student planning across personal, academic, and career domains.
- Middle School Career Connected Learning, funding the development of integrated, real-world career learning models for grades 6–8.
- High School Work-Based Learning, supporting systems and partnerships that expand student access to internships, apprenticeships, and other work-based experiences, with strategic use of statewide tools like MEFA Pathway.
