Description
The Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education offers this competitive grant to help districts and schools improve students’ college, career, and civic readiness. It supports high schools entering the My Career and Academic Plan (MyCAP) planning phase or beginning whole-school implementation. MyCAP is intended to help students plan for postsecondary success based on their interests, strengths, and skills.
School teams develop a grade-by-grade scope and sequence covering personal, social, and mental health; career development; and academic and future planning. Grant-supported work includes team meetings outside school hours, professional development, rollout planning or early implementation, and identifying two measures of student success.
