Description
This grant, administered by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE), is a continuation award focused on advancing evidence-based, culturally and linguistically sustaining English Language Arts (ELA)/Literacy instruction in grades 4–12. The program supports Local Educational Agencies (LEAs) that participated in the FY26 PRISM III grant, helping them further evaluate, select, purchase, and implement high-quality instructional materials (HQIM). Awarded LEAs receive resources for curriculum councils, leadership coaching, and curriculum-based professional learning, all facilitated by PRISM Curriculum and Instruction Coaches. The initiative aims to strengthen internal district capacity, deepen use of high-quality instructional materials, and improve literacy outcomes for all students.
