Description
This grant, administered by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE), is a continuation award supporting Local Educational Agencies (LEAs) that previously received PRISM III funding. The initiative is designed to help districts and charter schools in Massachusetts advance their work in evaluating, selecting, purchasing, and implementing high-quality instructional materials (HQIM) for English Language Arts and Literacy in grades 4–12. The program provides ongoing support through educator stipends, leadership coaching, and curriculum-based professional learning delivered by DESE-approved PRISM Curriculum & Instruction Coaches. The goal is to build sustainable internal capacity, strengthen evidence-based and culturally sustaining instructional practices, and ensure equitable, high-quality literacy experiences for all students.
