Description
This competitive grant, offered by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE), is designed to help public school districts, charter schools, regional schools, and collaboratives strengthen their English as a Second Language (ESL) programming and services. The initiative supports two primary goals: (1) the adoption, development, or implementation of high-quality ESL curriculum, and (2) the creation or expansion of "grow your own" ESL teacher hubs to increase the pipeline of licensed ESL educators.
