Description
This competitive grant program aims to strengthen English as a Second Language (ESL) programming and services across Massachusetts public school districts, charter schools, regional schools, and educational collaboratives. The initiative is designed to (1) support the adoption, development, and implementation of high-quality ESL curricula and (2) expand the pipeline of ESL educators through targeted "grow your own" teacher hubs, mentorship, and licensure pathways. The program aligns with the state's vision for educational equity and seeks to ensure that English learners receive effective, evidence-based instruction, while districts build the capacity to serve diverse student populations.
