Description
This grant program, managed by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, supports schools and districts within the Strategic Transformation Region that are identified as the lowest performing in the state. The funding is targeted at advancing evidence-based strategies to drive rapid academic improvement and foster sustainable, systemic change. Grantees are expected to implement initiatives aligned with their district or school turnaround plans, focusing on priority areas such as school culture and climate, leadership, instructional rigor, resource management, cultural competency, social emotional learning, and community engagement. The program is designed to build long-term capacity for continuous cycles of improvement.
