Description
This grant supports Massachusetts public schools, charter schools, and collaboratives in conducting comprehensive reviews and action planning for their arts programs using the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education's (DESE) Arts & Cultural Vitality (ACV) Index. Funding is provided for team stipends and essential materials, enabling schools and districts to assess, plan, and enhance the quality and equity of arts education. The initiative includes structured tracks for new and returning recipients, professional learning communities, and ongoing support from DESE arts specialists, all aimed at fostering culturally responsive, high-quality, and equitable arts opportunities for students.
