Description
This program delivers federal Title I, Part A funds to Massachusetts local education agencies (LEAs) to help ensure all children have the opportunity to receive a fair, equitable, and high-quality education. The grant is targeted at closing achievement gaps by supporting core academic programs, providing evidence-based interventions for struggling students, elevating instructional quality through professional development, and fostering strong family and community engagement. Districts must use funds to supplement—not supplant—other resources and are expected to align activities with DESE’s strategic objectives: supporting the whole student, promoting deeper learning, and developing a diverse and effective workforce.
