Description
This grant supports Massachusetts local education agencies (LEAs) through Title I, Part A of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA), delivering supplemental federal resources to ensure all children—especially those from low-income families and historically underserved communities—have access to a fair, equitable, and high-quality education. Funds are intended to help districts close achievement gaps, strengthen core academic programs, provide evidence-based interventions, enhance instructional quality, and involve families as partners in education. Grants are awarded by formula and must align with at least one of the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education’s strategic objectives: supporting the whole student, promoting deeper learning, and sustaining a diverse and effective workforce.
