This grant provides competitive funding for Massachusetts public school districts (including charter schools) to expand and systematize work-based learning opportunities by implementing MEFA Pathway as the statewide database and student portal. Participating schools will develop models and resources for integrating Work-based Learning Plans with My Career and Academic Plan (MyCAP), strategically use Connecting Activities and YouthWorks to broaden student access, and help align state career development models with YouthWorks employment engagement standards. Grantees will collaborate with local MassHire Workforce Boards, MEFA Pathway, Commonwealth Corporation, and DESE in a community of practice to lead statewide efforts in work-based learning data, planning, and resource development.
