Description
This grant supports the implementation of workplace education programs for adult incumbent workers through partnerships among education providers, businesses, and unions (where applicable). The focus is on delivering Adult Basic Education (ABE) and English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) instruction, developing contextualized curricula, fostering collaboration among stakeholders, and employing strategies to enhance student participation and retention. Grantees are required to provide both classroom and remote instruction, maintain active planning and evaluation teams, conduct required assessments, and ensure high rates of class enrollment and retention. The program emphasizes stakeholder commitment, the use of data-driven planning and evaluation, and alignment with state and federal workforce and education standards.
