Description
The Industry Discovery & Development Partnership (IDDP) Program from Breakthrough T1D provides funding to for-profit companies conducting research projects that closely align with the organization's strategic priorities in type 1 diabetes (T1D). The program is designed to leverage the strengths of industry partners—such as expertise in product development and commercialization—while drawing on Breakthrough T1D’s leadership in global T1D research and advocacy. The goal is to accelerate the development of innovative therapies, technologies, and solutions that have the potential for real-world impact for people living with T1D.
IDDPs are often the industry funding mechanism for Breakthrough T1D’s major targeted Requests for Applications (RFAs), including those focused on device development, clinical trials, and translational research. Proposals are expected to demonstrate a plausible path to commercialization and clear alignment with Breakthrough T1D’s mission.
