Description
This competitive grant program, administered by the Idaho Department of Lands and funded by the USDA Forest Service State & Private Forestry branch, aims to promote collaborative, science-driven restoration activities on Idaho’s priority forest landscapes. The program is designed to reduce wildfire risk, improve fish and wildlife habitats, enhance water quality and watershed function, address invasive species and disease, and increase the ecological and economic value of Idaho’s forests. Projects must align with the Idaho Forest Action Plan and occur within an identified Priority Landscape Area (PLA) or Special Landscape Area (SLA). Priority is given to projects benefiting underserved or low-income communities, incorporating post-fire recovery, and to first-time applicants.
