Description
The Nevada Arts Council’s Arts Learning Express Grant supports short-term arts education led by teaching artists for Nevada communities. Programming must center active, hands-on learning in the arts or traditional cultural practices. Projects may focus on arts education, arts integration, arts for social development, or therapeutic art making. Funds can support teaching artist fees, materials and supplies, and eligible travel.
The council looks for artistic excellence, qualified teaching artists, clear objectives and achievable outcomes, instruction suited to the audience, a plan to evaluate learning, and a collaborative commitment to inclusion and accessibility. Pre-K–grade 12 projects must connect to Nevada content standards in the fine arts and/or English language arts and social studies.
