Description
The Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care (EEC) administers Career Pathways to support the early education workforce in obtaining higher education certificates and degrees. Released under the FY 2027 Appropriations Act, the FY27 procurement funds institutional infrastructure for early childhood education student support and helps students leverage financial aid sources to cover the cost of attendance.
The program recognizes the workforce’s diverse ethnic, linguistic, and educational backgrounds. Its services are intended to sustain and enhance high-quality early education programs throughout the Commonwealth. Career Pathways programs have deep connections with the early childhood workforce and local employee partners, linking credential attainment with institutional support for the educators they serve.
