Description
Montgomery County’s Office of Grants Management (OGM) administers Cost Sharing Capital Grants for qualified 501(c)(3) nonprofits undertaking capital projects that benefit county residents. County funding matches appropriated Maryland State Bond Bills or other State capital funding. Supported work includes land and building purchases, new construction, facility expansions, renovations, land improvements such as sports fields, historic preservation, and major equipment purchases.
The program has arts facility and non-arts facility categories and focuses on fixed assets rather than ongoing operations. Funding priorities include benefits for underserved communities, readiness to implement projects, and ownership or a long-term commitment to the asset being improved. OGM also seeks culturally proficient organizations that include LGBTQIA+ community members and use a racial equity lens in providing services.
