Description
The Montgomery County Government’s Office of Grants Management administers a two-stage capital grant program designed to strengthen the infrastructure of nonprofit organizations serving Montgomery County, MD. The program funds capital projects—including land or building acquisition, new construction, major equipment purchases, facility improvements, and expansions—that provide access to resources, direct services, historical preservation, or cultural enrichment for county residents. Projects must already have secured a Maryland State Bond Bill or other Maryland State capital funding for the same project. The process includes an initial eligibility screening (Stage One) and, for those advancing, a comprehensive proposal submission (Stage Two). Priority is given to projects serving underserved populations, demonstrating readiness to begin within 3–9 months, and where the organization owns or has a long-term commitment to the improved asset.
