    Description

The Idaho Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) administers the Clean Water State Revolving Fund to improve the quality of Idaho’s water resources. The FY2028 opportunity supports eligible systems undertaking planning, design, and construction to collect, treat, or dispose of wastewater, as well as projects that otherwise provide direct water quality benefits. Wastewater infrastructure support helps entities build or repair treatment facilities and achieve or maintain state and federal standards.

The program also accommodates nonpoint source water pollution projects, including watershed restoration and pollution-reduction work. Limited loan funds are awarded through annual priority lists based on project ratings and readiness to proceed. Rating priorities include regulatory compliance, watershed restoration, protection of beneficial water uses, sustainability, and affordability.
