Gallery 4Culture is a long-standing exhibition program in Seattle’s Pioneer Square, dedicated to showcasing innovative and underrepresented contemporary artists and art forms. The program offers King County-based artists, collaborative teams, and groups the chance to exhibit their work in a 1,000-square-foot gallery space. Each season, six exhibitions—each approximately six weeks long—are selected through a competitive process. Selected artists receive curatorial direction, communications and PR support, and a $2,000 honorarium. The program prioritizes installation and site-responsive artwork, and encourages emerging artists and those whose practices are underrepresented in commercial venues to apply. While the gallery is not a commercial venue, artists may sell their work directly to collectors with no commission taken by 4Culture.
