Description
The Gallia County Foundation, a local affiliate of the Foundation for Appalachian Ohio (FAO), awards grants annually with support from its donors and in partnership with FAO. Earnings from the foundation’s endowment fund are returned to the community through grants to nonprofits, schools and public organizations serving Gallia County residents.
The grants support projects and programs across five “Pillars of Prosperity”: arts and culture, community and economic development, education, environmental stewardship, and health and human services. The program emphasizes efforts led by people of all ages that create opportunities, meet pressing needs and unleash the potential within Gallia County. Its focus is local community benefit rather than a particular research field.
