Description
Mayo Clinic’s one-year Gastrointestinal and Liver Pathology Fellowship in Rochester, Minnesota, combines diagnostic training with basic science and clinicopathologic research. Administered through the Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology, the program provides exposure to gastrointestinal, liver, and pancreatobiliary biopsies and surgical specimens, including adult and pediatric cases, transplant material, and complex consultations. Training emphasizes hands-on case review, ancillary test selection, and multidisciplinary consultation.
Fellows work with clinical groups in gastroenterology, liver transplant, gastrointestinal surgery, and gastrointestinal oncology.
