--- ## Description This one-year fellowship at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, provides comprehensive, advanced training in gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary pathology. Fellows gain exposure to a high volume and diversity of biopsy and surgical pathology specimens, participate in multidisciplinary clinical and teaching conferences, and have robust opportunities for both basic science and clinicopathologic research. The program is fully accredited by the ACGME and is supported by one of the largest clinical laboratories in the world, ensuring access to extensive clinical, educational, and research resources. --- ## Due Dates - June 30, 2027: Completed application form and all required documentation due for the 2029–2030 fellowship (applications must be submitted no later than June 30 two years prior). - Previous due dates: June 30, 2026 (for 2028–2029), June 30, 2025 (for 2027–2028) --- ## Funding Amount - The fellowship is a full-time, salaried position for one year. - Fellows receive the standard Mayo Clinic School of Graduate Medical Education (GME) stipend and benefits, which include health insurance, paid vacation, and professional development resources. - Only one fellowship position is available per year. --- ## Eligibility - Applicants must hold a medical degree (M.D. or equivalent). - U.S. or Canadian specialty training in anatomic pathology is required. - Three letters of recommendation are required, including one from the current program director. - International medical graduates may be considered, but must meet [general admissions requirements](https://college.mayo.edu/academics/residencies-and-fellowships/admissions-and-benefits/). --- ## Application Process 1.
