The Gavin Creel Fellowships is an annual program of the American Theatre Wing, launched in partnership with Celia Keenan-Bolger, Sara Bareilles, Catherine Brunell, and a group of Gavin Creel’s friends. It honors the Tony Award-winning actor’s commitment to giving young theatre makers the opportunities and support he received as he entered the profession.
The program supports emerging actors facing the economic and systemic challenges of beginning a theatre career in New York City. It aims to help young actors transition from college to professional work, and from anywhere in America to New York City. Alongside financial support, fellows receive personal mentorship and connections to the Broadway community, helping launch their careers and support the future of American theatre.
