The Foundation for Anesthesia Education and Research (FAER) offers a grant designed specifically to supplement the National Institute on Aging (NIA) GEMSSTAR (Grants for Early Medical/Surgical Specialists’ Transition to Aging Research) R03 award. This funding supports the Professional Development Plan (PDP) component, which is not covered by the NIA R03 grant. The FAER GEMSSTAR Grant aims to help early-career anesthesiology physician-investigators and dentist-scientists expand their expertise and career development in aging and geriatric research, enabling them to become leaders in the field.
