The Society for Freshwater Science (SFS) offers Early Career Awards through its Endowment Awards program to help early-career scientists participate in the SFS Annual Meeting. These competitive awards fund travel tied to both attendance and presentation, rather than a separate research project. Meeting participation is the central purpose of the support.
SFS is an international scientific society dedicated to understanding freshwater ecosystems and the organisms that live in them. Its broader Endowment Awards program supports research and travel by members at different career stages. The Early Career Awards provide dedicated travel assistance for current members who have recently completed their terminal degree, including a bachelor’s, master’s, or doctorate.
